Special needs are very different from person to person so everyone is not expected to be able to do all the ideas listed below. Dancing for those with depression might be a good mood lifter bringing happy feelings. Parents of children or are menatally or physically disabled can dive alongside their child while a qualified diving instructor dives and cares for them on a one to one bases. Even sponsored charity walks can be done by those in wheelchairs. To be shown respect and treated as a normal person within your capabilities - to be allowed to accomplish dreams within your capabilities is a sure way to fulfillment and happiness in the future..


  Birdwatching with canoe tour
- Abu Dhabi's eastern lagoon on the New Corniche, Mushrif Palace Gardens , the port area, the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, Parks and Golf Clubs. The Emirates – birdwhating in the mangrove swamps in Khor Kalba and Umm al Quwain, the only place in the world where the white collared kingfisher can be found.   Camping ( always respect the environment)
- October to April is the coolest time. Camp in the desert,, mountains or adis, by and Oasis or stream. Be careful of flash floods in the Wadis. Four wheel drive remote camping, the Hajar Mountains, near Al Ain and Liwa's large sand dunes. You will need: a Tent - air bed / mattress – sleeping bag – torches with extra batteries – lots of water – BBQ or camping stove - cool box – firewood and matches – spade – warm clothing – hat – sunscreen – sunglasses – insect repellent – first aid box with antihistamine cream – toilet rolls – rubbish bags – navigation equipment - a couple of fully charged mobile phones.

  Climbing

  Cycling –

  Diving
- Learning disabilities like Down Syndrome have a wonderful time training and diving. It is a chance to escape their environment and accomplishment bring self pride and determination to succeed. At just a few feet in delpth they can see beautiful fish, corals, wrecks, dolphins, the whale shark, barracuda, spotted eagle rays, moray eels, small sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, and much more. Not all diving schools will agree to do this, but British. Canadian or American instructors are often keen to help.
